NTUA within the framework of the Fifth UN Global Road Safety Week organized a Scientific Workshop titled “Digitalisation and Road Safety Research” which took place with great success on 17 May 2019 in Athens.
Bradley Cliatt, Apostolos Ziakopoulos, Akis Theofilatos, Emmanouil Barmpounakis, Ioanna Pagoni, Dimosthenis Pavlou, Maria Pomoni, Dimitris Tselentis, Konstantinos Gkyrtis, Eleni Mantouka and Foteini Orfanou PhD students and Postdoctoral researchers of the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering of NTUA were awarded with the NTUA Thomaidion Award for outstanding publications in scientific journals or conferences proceedings for the year 2017.
The examination of the Diploma Theses of the undergraduate students of the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering took place with great success on March 15th, 18th and 21st 2019 at Railways Amphitheater.

The Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) was ranked 15th in Europe and 65th place worldwide among all Transportation Science & Technology Schools according to the ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2018.
