Antonis Chaziris is a Civil Engineer, and Senior Research Associate at the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. In 2005, he graduated from the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA majoring in Transportation Engineering. In 2011, he received a Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering and Management from the University of Twente (UT), Netherlands. He has more than 15 years of research and professional experience, including working as a researcher in the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering of NTUA (2006 – 2009, 2020 – today) and as a Traffic Engineer in Athens Traffic Management Centre (2010 – 2020). He has conducted hundreds of traffic studies related to traffic signal control and was responsible for managing every day operations of the Traffic Management System of Athens. He participated in 6 national and international research projects. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece; the Hellenic Institute of Transport Engineers; the H2020 expert’s database, and the General Secretariat of Research and Technology (GSRT) reviewer database.
