Panagiotis Fafoutellis

Panagiotis Fafoutellis is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He holds a diploma in Civil and Transportation Engineering and a second one in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from the NTUA. In 2024, he received his PhD from the NTUA for his dissertation entitled “Traffic Theory Inspired Spatiotemporal and Multimodal Deep Learning Models for Trustworthy Short-Term Urban Traffic Forecasting”. His research interests include the application of Deep Learning techniques and advanced statistical and machine learning methods in Traffic Forecasting, Transport Modeling, Traffic Management and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
