Katerina Vakrinou is a PhD Candidate and researcher at the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Since 2023, she holds a Civil Engineering Diploma from NTUA. Previously, she worked as a Procurement Engineer on public sector projects about digital infrastructure. More recently, she has participated in research projects funded by the European Union and National Resources and has prepared research proposals for national and European calls. Her research interests include the application of advanced machine learning and data analysis to solve transportation problems, including smart parking solutions, intelligent transportation systems, and the integration of automated vehicles into the transportation network.
